A couple years ago Larry Stevens from Mondamin, Iowa walked up to me and said I have something you may want. He had found an old 1955 Wallaces Farmer Magazine in which my Father "Red" McCall was featured in. I want to thank Larry for handing this over to us and so I can pass it down in the family. It means a lot to us. The rest of the story is that I Russ McCall was 5 days when this story come out. Dad has told us story of the auctions back in those days and they are from a time past. In 1945 Dad cryed 80 farms sales that winter, unbelievable!
